Morphed photos, fake nudes, leaked private images
A photo of your face edited onto someone else's body. AI-generated nudes. Real private images shared without your consent. Indian law treats all of these seriously: IT Rules 2021 Rule 3(2)(b) requires platforms to remove content that exposes private areas, shows nudity or a sexual act, or is “in the nature of impersonation in an electronic form, including artificially morphed images” — on your complaint, no court order needed. For intimate images, we also point adults to StopNCII (the hash is created on your own device, the image never leaves it) and anyone under 18 — or photographed while under 18 — to NCMEC's Take It Down. Both work from India and are free.
Someone made a fake account with your name or face
A profile pretending to be you. Your photos on someone else's account. A scam run in your name on Instagram or WhatsApp. The same IT Rules cover impersonation in electronic form — and every major platform has an identity-claim form for exactly this. We pre-fill it with the framing that gets a real response instead of a generic auto-reply, and you file it in your name.
Someone is threatening to post your photos
If someone is demanding money or anything else against a threat to publish your images: do not pay, and do not negotiate. Save the evidence (screenshots, usernames, links). You can register a complaint anonymously on cybercrime.gov.in under Women/Children related crime, or call 1930. If the images have already been posted, paste the links here and start the removal in parallel. You do not have to face the person, and you do not have to see the content again.

India has one of the strongest removal frameworks in the world for exactly this harm. Here is what your complaint stands on.
IT Rules 2021, Rule 3(2)(b) — your removal right
Platforms must remove content exposing private areas, showing nudity or sexual acts, or impersonation — explicitly including “artificially morphed images” — after a complaint from you or anyone on your behalf. No court order. No lawyer. The rule required action within 24 hours; the February 2026 amendment cut the window for this content to 2 hours.
cybercrime.gov.in and 1930
India's National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal accepts complaints under Women/Children related crime — including anonymously. The national cybercrime helpline is 1930. Our notice pairs with these: the portal reports the crime, the platform complaint gets the content down.
IT Act §66E, §67, §67A
Publishing images of a person's private area without consent (§66E), obscene material (§67), and sexually explicit material (§67A) are criminal offences — up to three, three, and five years respectively. The complaint we prepare cites what applies, so the platform sees a report grounded in law, not just a flag.
Re-upload prevention
MeitY's 2025 SOP directs significant platforms to use hash-matching so removed intimate images stay removed. For adults, StopNCII extends the same idea across every participating platform at once — free, and the image never leaves your device.

What neither does is prepare the platform-specific complaint that gets the copies already online taken down — the right form, the right framing, the right law, for fake accounts and non-partner sites too.
